A young school teacher is in her class room when the sirens go off for a tornado warning. As she listens to the news she is frightful for her students and for her own children. She listens to the radio to find her youngest child’s school is in the direction that the tornado is going. Her mind haunts her as to what to do. She has three children, at different schools, but not much time. Desperately she tries to call her husband but the phones are not working. Quickly she picks up her youngest child from school and goes back to her classroom to take care of her school children. The sky is scary looking as the clouds flow in different directions, and the wind picks up. She orders the children to go under the desks. Her own child asks if this is a tornado and she lies, telling her it is just a storm and this is just a precaution. The wind is loud, as debris hits the building. Cries for moms and dads are filling her room. Some kids are just crying for her to hold them but she only has 2 hands. She has to stay strong, can’t show any fear, as she tries to keep the moral of the classroom up. Yet in the back of her mind she is terribly worried about her husband and her other two children. Although it only took moments it seemed like forever as they listened to the howls of the wind and crashing of debris to the building. When the tornado finally passed over them, the kids slowly got up and looked around. A couple of them had to be helped free from falling walls. Outside some of the buildings were flattened looking like they were made from a cardboard box. She didn’t allow herself to break down; after all she had to stay strong for her students. When the kids were picked up she found her car under a tree so she had to find a way home. Her mind was consumed with getting home and she finally broke down when she found her husband and other two children safe in the shelter in her home. PLEASE HELP ME MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I AM GIVING AWAY MY PROFIT TO HELP THESE PEOPLE OUT. PLEASE HELP!

This was a new experience for us. There were other authors & publishers. It was a little slow, not many people came to visit this Festival. I like to wear hats to my book signings. My new RED hat helped us get people to come to our table, mostly to tell me how they liked my hat, but then it meant they would also take a look at our books. My husband Jimmy and our publisher Andrea with her husband, we all shared a table. I only sold a total of 4 books, but gave away a lot of post card with the hope that they will either buy a paper back or an E-book later. I want to thank everyone who I got to talk to at this event. CARD READS! Thank you so much for the Chance to win the locket! I was so excited when I saw it! Love the book so far! Can't wait till it becomes a movie! KASSIE

I hope to see you in Flagstaff, but if you can't make it, buy my book so you can get your name in the drawing and GOOD LUCK. youngatheart81254@yahoo.com ![]() I have been told that to take your own life is cowardly and not taking responsibility for the feelings of your loved one. I am numb as I heard that a former employee took her own life and one of her children had to find her. Part of me wants to cry and part of me wants to be mad. Part of me is ashamed of myself thinking maybe I could have been there for her. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR MY FRIEND AND HER FAMILY. Suicide is often committed out of despair which is frequently due to depression. Stress factors to depression could be financial difficulties, or maybe interpersonal relationships. Depression is a serious disease and more people are diagnosed with this more often than we think. I have heard people say that it is just in the mind and all you have to do is think happy thoughts and depression will go away, but they are wrong. There are many mental disorders which attribute to depression like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or drug abuse. I found the below on http://www.suicide.org/ If you are not in immediate danger because of thoughts of suicide, but need someone to talk with about your suicidal feelings, please do not hesitate to call one of the following national suicide prevention lines: 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) Suicide Prevention Lines You may call these suicide prevention numbers from anywhere in the United States, 24 hours a day. People are waiting to help you. Call a suicide prevention number right now if you need to. And always remember that it is never okay to act on your thoughts of suicide. Never. Again, call a suicide prevention number now if you need to. ![]() I sat down and read The Silver Locket. Excellent job! I couldn't put it down and I don't remember ever crying so much over a book! Thanks for writing this to me Debbie Stanley, you made my day. It means a lot to an author when the reader enjoys their book enough to let them know it. It also helps to put a review on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. So practice an ACT OF KINDNESS by letting the author and other readers know your thoughts on their books. We love our READERS and only want to make them smile. |
